SSPD – Annual Meeting 2026

Welcome to SSPD 2026

Stockholm, 20–21 August 2026
Venue: Scandic Continental

On behalf of the Scandinavian Society for Prosthetic Dentistry (SSPD), the organizing committee is delighted to welcome you to Stockholm for the 54th annual meeting, taking place from lunch to lunch, August 20–21, 2026, at Scandic Continental (Vasagatan 22).

This year’s meeting gathers dentists, specialists, researchers and colleagues from across the Nordic countries to explore new knowledge at the intersection of oral and general health.

Theme of SSPD 2026

Oral Health as a Gateway to General Well‑Being

The scientific program highlights growing evidence linking oral conditions to systemic health, ageing, nutrition, frailty, and quality of life. Distinguished international speakers will offer perspectives that span clinical practice, research, and preventive care, emphasizing the broader role of prosthetic dentistry in supporting overall well‑being.

Beyond the lectures, SSPD 2026 offers valuable opportunities to meet colleagues, exchange experiences, and reflect on how oral rehabilitation continues to evolve in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape. Our aim is to combine strong scientific content with an open, collegial atmosphere.

We warmly welcome you to the SSPD Annual Meeting in Stockholm and look forward to learning, sharing, and advancing the field together.

NIOM – Survey

Dear clinical practitioner working with prosthetic dentistry

When placing implant restorations, screw access hole channels of abutments and final constructions must be closed to avoid cement clogging, accumulation of bacteria and debris and obtain the final strength of the restoration.

The literature reports no consensus about recommended procedures and/or materials for closure of the screw access hole channel and large variations exists.

To map out if there are any differences within and between the Nordic countries when it comes to procedures and materials in this respect, we would be grateful for your help to fill out this brief questionnaire:

https://response.questback.com/nordisk_institutt_for_odontolo/p8x0akguhx

The questionnaire takes 2-10 minutes to finish.

Inquiries regarding this questionaire should be directed to Mina Aker Sagen at m.a.sagen@niom.no.

Best regards,

Mina Aker Sagen, Ellen Flosadóttir, Julie Erica Schlosser, Timo Närhi, and Per Vult von Steyern
