Dear clinical practitioner working with prosthetic dentistry
When placing implant restorations, screw access hole channels of abutments and final constructions must be closed to avoid cement clogging, accumulation of bacteria and debris and obtain the final strength of the restoration.
The literature reports no consensus about recommended procedures and/or materials for closure of the screw access hole channel and large variations exists.
To map out if there are any differences within and between the Nordic countries when it comes to procedures and materials in this respect, we would be grateful for your help to fill out this brief questionnaire:

Oral function for the elderly
Welcome to Oslo!
On behalf of the organizing comittee I warmly welcome you to the joint annual meeting of Scandinavian Society for Prosthetic Dentistry (SSPD) and Norsk forening for oral protetikk (NFOP).
We welcome all dentists and scientists from the Scandinavian countries who have a special interest in restorative dentistry in general and prosthodontics in particular to attend this meeting to learn more about the theme of the meeting; Oral function for the elderly.
The meeting will take place in Oslo from 15th to the 17th of August 2024. On Thursday we start with a reception in Clarion Hotel Oslo at 18.00 o´clock. On Friday we attend the highly interesting lectures of both national and international renowned lecturers. Ahead of the formal dinner you can enjoy a guided tour at The MUNCH Museum. On Saturday we continue with lectures and wrap it all up with lunch at 13:00.

Due to the pandemic in the world right now the meeting in Oslo is unfortunately cancelled.
The general assembly will be held on Zoom Friday the 20 th of August at 13.00 Central European time. A link will be send to all members in the middle of August.
We are delighted to inform you about our next year upcoming SSPD meeting in Århus in 2022. Visit our website sspd.no for more information in the beginning of 2022.
