SSPD 2026 will feature a poster session highlighting current research, clinical projects, and innovative developments in prosthetic dentistry and related fields. The session provides an excellent opportunity for researchers, clinicians, postgraduate students, and young investigators to present their work, exchange ideas, and engage in scientific discussion with colleagues from across the Nordic countries.

Abstracts must be submitted no later than 15 June 2026 and should be sent to Anastasios Grigoriadis (anastasios.grigoriadis@ki.se)

On behalf of the Scandinavian Society for Prosthetic Dentistry (SSPD), the organizing committee is delighted to welcome you to Stockholm for the 54th annual meeting, taking place from lunch to lunch, August 20–21, 2026, at Scandic Continental (Vasagatan 22).

This year’s meeting gathers dentists, specialists, researchers and colleagues from across the Nordic countries to explore new knowledge at the intersection of oral and general health.

Oral Health as a Gateway to General Well‑Being

The scientific program highlights growing evidence linking oral conditions to systemic health, ageing, nutrition, frailty, and quality of life. Distinguished international speakers will offer perspectives that span clinical practice, research, and preventive care, emphasizing the broader role of prosthetic dentistry in supporting overall well‑being.

Beyond the lectures, SSPD 2026 offers valuable opportunities to meet colleagues, exchange experiences, and reflect on how oral rehabilitation continues to evolve in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape. Our aim is to combine strong scientific content with an open, collegial atmosphere.

Over the years, SSPD has published a number of reports (compendiums) on various prosthetic topics. The topics range from dimensional changes of the jawbone in patients with complete dentures via post-and-core retention in root-filled teeth to overdentures. The reports can now be downloaded HERE.
